Historic District & Forsyth Park Bridal - Savanna Wedding Photographer

Being destination wedding photographers means we love to visit other places even if they aren’t overseas. Savannah is one of those places we absolutely love to visit for not only it’s beauty, but its rich history behind the city. We also love a good local restaurant! We were fortunate enough to be able to capture this editorial while we at the South Eastern Photography Conference. We would love to go back soon to capture your wedding in Savannah.

Wormsloe Historic Site Bridal Wedding Inspiration - Savannah Wedding Photographer

We recently visited Savannah, Georgia to attend the Southeast Photo Convention, a conference for photographers to learn, network, even shoot alongside other professionals. We wanted to make the most of this trip by organizing our own styled shoot, and that is just what we did. Not being super familiar with the area and knowing that we were going to end up in Savannah’s Historic District, we did a little (and I mean very little) research to find Wormsloe Historic Site, which immediately impressed us with its road lined with towering oak trees covered in Spanish moss. We were also lucky enough to have the only 70 degree, sunny day during our visit to photograph our beautiful bridal in this picturesque location.

We wanted this shoot to feel classic and timeless with an old Hollywood vibe as well. Despite originally planning on a more form fitting dress, we ended up utilizing this stunning champagne Vera Wang gown with a dramatic back more reminiscent of our ideal style—a super flowy dress with tons of movement. We wanted to keep this styled bridal simple, but the entire inspiration came from the raw rose quartz ring with a copper band that we incorporated as the engagement ring. Quicksand roses surrounded by lush greenery comprised most of the bouquet and carried into the lovely invitation suite which featured a two piece primary invitation with a vellum overlay atop a rose background.

With modern and vintage inspired elements combined in the stylistic details, we utilized the tree covered avenue to naturally frame our gorgeous model, but we also wanted to get a little creative with the palms we immediately noticed along the outskirts of the path. Gorgeous golden hour lighting peaking through the massive trees only added to the ambiance of this shoot. We’re taking you to the Wormsloe Historic Site today with this bridal inspiration in one of our new favorite cities, Savannah, and we hope you love this as much as we do.

The Concord Farmhouse Winter Wedding - Knoxville Wedding Inspiration

Winters in Tennessee are usually incredibly mild, but our first blustery, chilly, and overcast day of the season coincided with this session, our winter wedding inspiration styled shoot. Held at a local farmhouse, The ConcordFarmhouse as it has been named, we wanted to channel the rustic nature of the venue in styling elements while also ensuring wintery details were highlighted.
The farmhouse, built in 1905, sits on 2 ½ acres in the small town of Farragut within Knoxville. The home feels like a step into the country amidst a city setting as it surround by woods and features a classic Southern-style covered porch. The historic home contains many original finishes, and the owners also built much of the furniture displayed in the home, including the large over-sized farmhouse table styled for this shoot. Aside from the classic white exterior, towering white columns, and quaint green shutters, this house also boasts private gardens and a phenomenal ivy archway utilized in some of our shots.
The first decision we made regarding this inspiration were the gorgeous jewel tones that were incorporated in the floral, place settings, cake, and even the makeup. These hues evoked a winter vibe, and the copper accents through the handmade candle holders and mugs added a warmth and richness that made these colors pop even more. Lovely fur stoles paired perfectly with the flowing white Azazie gowns that allowed for graceful movement, and our groom’s navy suit featured a cozy tweed vest and tie necessary for a cool outdoor winter wedding. The rich black dahlias incorporated in the stunning bouquet and table garland also carried into the groom’s boutonniere, which was ornate but inherently masculine. Deep shades of red were also prominent on the handmade cooper calligraphy place cards at each guest’s seat. Plump berries on a spiced three-tiered naked cake and bright pink and red cranberries strewn along the table made up the other fresh elements along with deep purple plums as the centerpiece for each place setting. Fruit was another defining component of this inspiration, and we wanted all of the choices to feel like the perfect winter edibles.
These photos make us want to snuggle up with a warm drink, but we also wanted to convey a timeless elegance with a bit more dramatic look to welcome the colder weather. Rustic, simple, and classic, we hope this farmhouse styled shoot leaves our readers feeling inspired to embrace a winter wedding.

Candoro Marble Inspiration Shoot

We love coming together with our fellow Knoxville wedding photographers, and this Candoro Marble styled shoot allowed us to do just that.   Located in South Knoxville, Candoro Marble was formerly the Candoro Mable Company and is now a historic treasure turned event center and museum. A marble exterior and elaborate ironwork are just a couple features of the property which offers an indoor venue space as well as  a covered outdoor patio and cypress tree lined lawn. You can't help but feel transported to a different time when setting foot in the building, and we were excited to highlight the character of this venue through these images.

With a New Year's  theme brought to life by Erin Morrison and Team Wedding,  this wedding inspiration included a sequined dress with gold and black accents in everything from the place settings to the cake.  Feathers and confetti made for festive additions,  and how could a couple ring in the new year without an intimate champagne toast?  Shooting side by side with our photog friends is always a great time, and we are thrilled to bring you this unique wedding inspiration today.  Cheers to 2018 and another year of adventures for Juicebeats Photography!

Tsali Notch Vineyard Wedding Styled Shoot - Kathryn + Hunter

Styled shoots are always a great chance to try out interesting poses and direct the models to achieve beautiful images representative of our style; however, Kathryn and Hunter, the gorgeous couple featured today, didn't need any direction from us at all, and we were so excited to capture their natural interactions with one another.

Kathyrn's dress was her own, and we love it when our brides or ladies that we shoot choose a flowy dress. We can catch amazing moments of movement, and the desire to sway or spin comes naturally with such lightweight fabrics. A simple dress with a special touch, like Kathryn's gown with lace sleeves and scoop back, can sometimes be underestimated, but being comfortable and easily achieving graceful movement is invaluable on a long wedding day and results in super elegant images.

Our favorite styling element of this shoot was the basket used to house Kathryn's flowers. This unique spin was a perfect alternative to a traditional bouquet, and it meshed flawlessly as a whimsical touch amidst the vineyard setting.

Kathryn and Hunter impressed all the photogs who came together to network for this styled shoot, and we are thrilled to share this bridal inspiration with you today.
