Cleveland Tennessee Bridal - Sarah

A bridal session is perhaps the best way for a future Mrs. to become comfortable in front of the camera prior to her big day. Just like an engagement shoot, we treat this as an opportunity to get to know our bride better and for her to learn more about us too. Having a relationship with your photographer upfront is a major advantage in having natural and effortless posing in your photos when the wedding rolls around.

The bride also gains another huge benefit from this session aside from becoming familiar with our posing and growing more comfortable as the subject of so many photos. This provides a perfect chance to put that hair and makeup trial to great use. Brides can see in advance exactly how they will appear in photos in order to make any alterations, but a great photog always keeps these hidden from the groom until after the wedding.

We were so thrilled to capture all of these moments with Sarah before her wedding day with Daniel. We loved the incorporation of the Lee University campus, as the couple attended school there together. The gorgeous chapel and classic buildings provided the ideal backdrop for her timeless gown and perfectly styled veil. The photos taken at the venue, the Barn at Living Water, allowed us to familiarize ourselves with the ceremony and reception site in advance and to snap some shots of Sarah where the two attend church together. These special moments with the bride are some of our favorites!

A bridal session can truly provide a great opportunity for the bride and photographer to develop a rapport with one another, but it also gives the bride a more relaxed occasion to capture some amazing photos to add to the wedding album. We hope you are inspired by this elegant and romantic bridal session with Sarah!

Volunteer Princess Cruises Wedding - Danielle & Justin

You may remember Danielle and Justin's playful engagement session at UT Botanical Gardens and Market Square featured on our blog, but today, we are so excited to share their beautifully unique wedding aboard the Volunteer Princess.

The couple shared a first look at Volunteer Landing before we snapped some shots with their best man and matron of honor, Danielle's sister and a fellow photographer, just above the river. We loved the bride's ivory Maggie Sottero dress featuring an always elegant lace top and a satin slip gown underneath. Pops of color with the deep purple dress and the guys' turquoise ties blended perfectly in the floral arrangements as well. Seriously, do you see that bouquet? Simply stunning!

The ceremony took place on the top level of the Volunteer Princess as we floated along the Tennessee River, and the two shared their first kiss under a beautiful arch adorned with bright purple flowers. Volunteer Princess Cruises serve as a perfect venue for intimate weddings, and the coordinators, captain, and crew provide amazing service.

Our favorite moment of the evening came when Danielle and Justin shared their first dance that they had been preparing for together in classes. These two glided across the dance floor, and impressed their guests (and us) with their moves!  We also loved their sparkler exit back near the dock as they rode off, cuddled together, on a golf cart.

We wish nothing but joy to this perfect, fun-loving couple, and we hope you love these images of their special day!

Intimate Sequoyah Park Inspirational Wedding Shoot

Imagine a gorgeous park full of lush greenery amid a historic neighborhood running along the Tennessee River, and you would be in Sequoyah Park, the location for this inspirational shoot. Bringing together some of Knoxville’s most creative wedding vendors, our goal was to capture portraits that featured memorable details, highlighted the intimate moments shared by a couple on their wedding day, and celebrated the charm of the venue.  An elegant table set for two with glimmers of gold and stunning floral arrangements set a romantic scene while the ivory gown and hand crafted stationery added a vintage touch. We hope that this shoot inspires couples to take the ordinary and make it extraordinary with a fine art approach and classic styling.

Thank you Trendy Bride for the beautiful feature of our inspiration shoot at Sequoyah Park.

Stephanie & Greg - Knoxville Botanical Gardens Engagement

Stephanie and Greg's engagement shoot at the Knoxville Botanical Gardens and Arboretum was a blast for all of us. Talk about a sweet couple! Their positive attitudes and sincere love shine through in these photos, but when we look at this shoot, we think, "Those  eyes!" (seriously both of them...stunning)

When Greg and Stephanie pulled up in his truck, we knew immediately that we were going to utilize the old truck on the property, and we are so glad that we did. The candid moments of the two together in the truck (despite the fact that it was almost 90 degrees and they were roasting) are truly some of our favorites.

We are so excited to shoot Stephanie and Greg's wedding in September at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Farragut followed by their reception at Embassy Suites, and we feel so honored to share in their joy.

Take a stroll with this couple in the gardens today and enjoy!

Brandi+DL

We were so thrilled to be able to photograph this couple on one of the first days of spring even amidst an impending storm. Brandi and DL are super cute and a little silly, but their love is clearly evident upon seeing them interact. Their session encompassed Brandi running into DL's arms, the couple admiring the river together, and the two strolling down the path hand in hand at Melton Hill Park. Even though the shoot was rained out after only thirty minutes, we still managed to capture these sweet moments from the fun loving couple.

We hope you enjoy these photos of Brandi and DL, and keep an eye out for some film shots of the couple soon.

Winter Months with My Camera

The winter months seemed especially long this year. Rather than becoming a bear and hibernating with my camera for the winter (which was definitely tempting amidst what seemed like perpetual freezing temps), I decided to try my hand at working on other types of photography.

I focused on shooting models, nature, lifestyle, couples, and family this winter. I also decided to break out my film camera at many shoots to achieve a classic, light and airy look. Juicebeats Photography was even featured on a few blogs this season including Bitchless Bride, Bridal Guide Magazine, Lookslikefilm and few others coming out in the next couple months. I am excited for this year's wedding season, but I wanted to share several of the photos from my shoots this winter that encouraged my creativity and allowed me to capture a variety of fun, glamorous, and tender moments.
