Dara's Garden Wedding - Kayleigh + Talon
What do you get when a former student contacts your husband and you to photograph their amazingly beautiful fall wedding? An awesome experience, that's what! We are so honored to have been chosen to capture Kayleigh and Talon'swedding and reception at Dara's Garden.
A beautiful venue just off Alcoa Highway, Dara's Garden boasts gorgeous stone pathways around the property, a covered tent perfect for events in any weather, various ceremony locations (although we loved that Kayleigh and Talon chose the draped pergola), and perfectly manicured grounds that offer gorgeous scenery for the couple and guests alike. We love the classic nature of this venue, but we also love that there are so many ways to make a wedding unique here.
Kayleigh and her bridesmaids spent the morning in the bridal suite, laughing and singing, but what we found to be so noteworthy is the love clearly evident amongst this group of girls. The sweetest moment occurred when Kayleigh, who slipped into her dress with only her mother in the room, shared a first look with her best friends (check out their sincere and heartwarming reactions below). Tears continued to flow as Talon met his mom for a first look as well outside by the stone fountain at the back of the house.
This couple is so fun loving, and we were happy to oblige their request to have some shots prior to the ceremony reenacting the classic scene from "Say Anything." Although the dress and decor appear fairly traditional, Kayleigh and Talon actually incorporated some really unique and modern elements with their unity painting (when both poured paint onto a blank canvas together), a lip sync battle between the bride and her bridesmaids versus the groom and his groomsmen, and did you see those amazing converse Kayleigh was sporting? Too perfect!
We are so thrilled to share this naturally beautiful bride and her handsome groom's special day, and we hope you love these shots from their garden wedding.

Chelsea and Luke's Cove Park Engagement
Chelsea and Luke are truly a couple that are meant to be. After parting ways when they were a bit younger, the two reunited and have been together ever since. We loved that these two wanted to spend their day with us in the parks of West Knoxville, and we were even more thrilled that they brought their two adorable pups along for the fun.
We started our afternoon with this sweet couple at the Cove at Concord Park where we captured moments of them strolling on the beach, adventuring out onto a ledge in the water, and admiring the beautiful fall colors. Late October was truly the perfect time for an engagement shoot in order to capture all of the changing colors but still have some nice, warm weather.
From here, we traveled to Walker Springs Park to spend a little time on the picturesque bridge capturing this couple as well as snapping some lovely moments of the entire family (obviously, dogs included) playing amidst the multicolored fall leaves. Although we did get rained on a bit at the end of shoot, Chelsea and Luke were troopers, and we really enjoyed parading through the parks with them.
We are super excited about Chelsea and Luke's wedding at the Crowne Plaza in April, but, in the meantime, enjoy these tender moments from the Vol fans' engagement shoot!

Billy and Amanda's Nolichucky Vineyard Wedding
One word to describe Billy and Amanda's ceremony and reception that took place at Nolichucky Vineyard? Gorgeous. With rows of grapes, a beautiful view of the Nolichucky river, and a pictereqsue barn, the vineyard is nestled off the beaten path in Russellville, Tennessee. We loved the uniqueness that this venue offered as well as the breathtaking surroundings.
We started our day with Amanda and her bridesmaids in the barn as they snacked and prepared for the ceremony in adorable pink and turquoise robes. Amanda provide each girl, along with her mother and future and mother in law, sweet gifts and handwritten notes that evoked happy tears through the room. We adored the stunning cream and gray bridesmaids' dresses with touches of lace, and we were thrilled when Amanda chose comfort and tossed aside her wedges to instead don some cute ankle boots with her flattering white gown. Lovely bouquets featuring white and pink flowers with orange and green accents popped when set against the more neutral tones and completed the elegant ensembles.
This day was all about family, and the couple celebrated this by each having a first look, Amanda with her father and Billy with his mom. These touching moments were some of our favorite of the day aside from the traditional ceremony that took place alongside the river under a draped canopy.
Amanda worked tirelessly to perfect her décor at the wedding which incorporated books of all sorts and antique inspired lanterns and glass birds. Everyone was there for a celebration and took to the dance floor with the couple who smiled and laughed the entire evening. We were so happy to have them sneak away for a few moments together alone amongst the vineyard rows as we captured these intimate moments shared between this newly named husband and wife.
We truly came to know and love Amanda and Billy, and we feel so honored to have been part of such an amazing day. We hope you adore these photos as much as we do these special moments and this couple.

Jodi and Ed's Hobbs Farm Wedding
Jodi and Ed's special day took place at The Hobbs Farm in Loudon, Tennessee. This gorgeous venue features a lovely, hidden outdoor ceremony location as well as a spacious barn for a unique reception experience.
We absolutely loved the incorporation of a first look between Jodi, her mother, father, and adorable son. This was such a sweet moment along with Jodi opening special gift from Ed prior to the ceremony, a beautiful silver necklace embellished with the word "Mrs." Little country touches with mason jars, a draped pergola, and stunning wooden doors adorned with wreaths for the entryway, set the scene for the perfect outdoor ceremony on a fall afternoon.
The bridesmaids' beautiful navy blue dresses were accented with simple bouquets of baby's breath, and we loved Jodi's elegant floral arrangement incorporating timeless peach roses. This group was a ton of fun the entire day, posing and joking throughout the photos, but we most enjoyed our time with them as they cut a rug on the dance floor the entire evening.
We hope you enjoy this rustic, fall wedding as much as we did, and wish Jodi and Ed a big congratulations with us!

Ashley & Matt's Whitestone Country Inn Wedding
We spent a sunny September Saturday photographing Ashley and Matt's gorgeous wedding at Whitestone Country Inn. This was a true celebration and a day full of joy, which is clearly evident from the bride's expressions in these photos throughout the day.
We loved capturing some adorable photos of Ashley and her bridesmaids having a little fun before a sentimental and truly perfect first look between the bride and her father. His reaction was priceless as was their playful, surprise choreographed dance at the reception. The day also featured an unexpected wedding party member, Ashley's adorable pup, Rubie, adorned with a floral collar. We also loved that Ashley and Matt requested a first look with the groom blindfolded so that they could share an intimate moment before the ceremony but also maintain the tradition of the groom seeing the bride for the first time as she walked down the aisle to meet him.
Whitestone Country Inn features a lovely chapel with lots of natural light and beautiful wooden doors embellished with stained glass crosses. Starting with a ring warming where all the guests had a chance to hold the couple's rings and say a silent prayer or blessing, Ashley and Matt's ceremony incorporated the exchanging of personalized vows.
The couple loves to travel together, and during the reception, guests were seated at tables decorated with photos in locations the two have visited. Rustic details, classic elements, and spectacular bouquets and floral head pieces for the girls added special touches to make Ashley and Matt's day even more elegant.
Join us in congratulating Ashley and Matt, and enjoy these pictures from their special day.
