Noah's Event Venue Kingston Wedding - Jenee + Wes

A beautiful spring wedding at a brand new wedding venue? Yes, please! Jenee and Wes decided on this gorgeous new location, Noah's Event Venue in Kingston, for their big day. Located amidst the woods and a quaint greenway, Noah's features large event  spaces with lots of natural light (which is obviously our jam) and elegant architectural and design details that make it the perfect space for a  classic wedding.  Although the venue offered a beautifully traditional setting, we loved that this couple embraced their personal style to add unique touches to their day. From a breakfast for dinner theme, to the rose gold accents, and even the bride's phenomenal blush gown with pearl sleeves, we are so excited to share Mr. and Mrs. Tate's wedding with you.

This couple met online, and when they are not watching their favorite shows  (like Game of Thrones), they enjoy spending time in the kitchen together. In fact, it was over a homemade meal of Cajun pasta that the two first said, “I love you.” One of the most interesting aspects of their wedding, however, was learning that Jenee didn’t meet one of her bridesmaids, Lily, until the night of the rehearsal—the day before the wedding. Although the two talked for years online, living across the country from one another made it difficult to meet in person, but when it came to planning her day, Jenee couldn’t imagine it without her friend. We are still so obsessed with the perfect wine colored bridesmaids’ dresses with a touch of rose gold behind the lace and even throughout the party’s shoes. Lush florals from LB Floral defined the day, adding bright pink hues that were also carried throughout the soft pink up lighting from Music in Motion. Pairing perfectly with a mimosa bar, Bradford Catered Events created a decadent cinnamon roll cake, an original dessert for the breakfast theme that characterized the reception. Everything about this day felt so timeless, and we are so thrilled with how these images highlighted various aspects of the day. Mill and Mine Wedding - Sarah Beth + Matt

I remember meeting these two at Technology Student Association conferences when I was a club sponsor and high school teacher in what I now refer to as my previous life. Matt was volunteering as a former TSA member, and I noticed immediately how friendly and outgoing he was. His counterpart, Sarah Beth, was a high school student and committed member to the organization as well; she's always been the sweetest most caring individual, and I was instantly impressed by her personable nature. Little did any of us know that years later, Sarah Beth and Matt would be walking down the aisle of their home church together and celebrating their union at an awesome downtown Knoxville venue with 400 of their closest friends and family. 

Wallace Memorial Baptist Church was the obvious choice for this couple's nuptials as Matt is a Student Ministry Director there, and Sarah Beth's dad serves as an administrator for the church. The ceremony site was so meaningful to the couple, and that just made this traditional sharing of vows even more special for all involved. Their reception took place at the super modern Mill and Mine in the heart of downtown Knoxville. This industrial venue provided getting ready spots for the two, and the expansive event space was perfect for a large wedding such as Sarah Beth and Matt's. 

Three very special first looks were part of this couple's big day-- one with Sarah Beth's dad, another with the bride and bridesmaids, and the final one with Matt. We love an emotional first look, and choosing to do one gives a couple a truly intimate moment together, allowing us to spend more time capturing the reactions and initial interactions of a couple. Matt's first glimpse at Sarah all dolled up in her beautiful gown did not disappoint, and his tearful reaction conveys just how happy and stunned he was to see his bride for the first time and also the pure love he has for Sarah Beth. From dancing at the beginning of the day to choreographed dances at the reception, personal touches like the arbor made by Sarah Beth and her grandfather for the ceremony, and gorgeous shades of blue and crisp white florals, Sarah Beth and Matt's day was nothing short of spectacular. With traits of loyalty, dedication, and fun loving spirits, these two are destined for a marriage full of happiness and love. Tsali Notch Vineyard Wedding Styled Shoot - Kathryn + Hunter

Styled shoots are always a great chance to try out interesting poses and direct the models to achieve beautiful images representative of our style; however, Kathryn and Hunter, the gorgeous couple featured today, didn't need any direction from us at all, and we were so excited to capture their natural interactions with one another. 

Kathyrn's dress was her own, and we love it when our brides or ladies that we shoot choose a flowy dress. We can catch amazing moments of movement, and the desire to sway or spin comes naturally with such lightweight fabrics. A simple dress with a special touch, like Kathryn's gown with lace sleeves and scoop back, can sometimes be underestimated, but being comfortable and easily achieving graceful movement is invaluable on a long wedding day and results in super elegant images.

Our favorite styling element of this shoot was the basket used to house Kathryn's flowers. This unique spin was a perfect alternative to a traditional bouquet, and it meshed flawlessly as a whimsical touch amidst the vineyard setting.

Olivia + Austin - Elkmont & Spence Cabin Area Smoky Mountain Engagement

This adorable Memphis couple made a trip to the Smoky Mountains and asked us to capture some engagement photos with the National Park as the backdrop.  Olivia and Austin are a sweet, fun loving couple, and these images bring a smile to our faces. 

Their burgundy outfits and shades of blue popped perfectly against the changing fall leaves. The most memorable aspect of this shoot, however, was the incorporation of Austin's guitar on the rock amidst the flowing creek. Olivia is one lucky girl as Austin regularly serenades her, and we were so excited to bring this aspect of their relationship to life through these images.
