Historic District & Forsyth Park Bridal - Savanna Wedding Photographer
Being destination wedding photographers means we love to visit other places even if they aren’t overseas. Savannah is one of those places we absolutely love to visit for not only it’s beauty, but its rich history behind the city. We also love a good local restaurant! We were fortunate enough to be able to capture this editorial while we at the South Eastern Photography Conference. We would love to go back soon to capture your wedding in Savannah.

Cooper's Cove at Heritage Park Wedding - Megan + Cody
If rain is a sign of good luck on a wedding day, then this couple is the luckiest we know! Megan and Cody’s wedding at Cooper’s Cove at Heritage Park may have started with rain and ended with rain as well, but their day was such a memorable one for so many reasons. The most striking aspect for us was their attitudes about it all. Throughout the day, we didn’t hear one complaint or see one tear shed other than those of true happiness. We were so impressed with how Megan and Cody took everything in stride and stayed focused on what really mattered—their union.
We utilized the cabin for many of the photos throughout the day, mixing things up with the cool wall of lockers for some shots of the groom and placing a couch on the covered porch for Megan’s stunning bridals (seriously, our fave). Their first look was full of raw emotion, and we can't even explain how we felt when watching Cody's sweet reaction to seeing his bride for the first time. An oh so brief break in the clouds gave us about 15 minutes to capture the moments under the gorgeous archway on the path leading to the reception site as well as the memories of the two strolling together hand in hand.
Heartfelt speeches from Megan’s sister and Cody’s best friend set the party off right, and we loved that all the guests were out on the dance floor. Although plans were changed from the anticipated outdoor ceremony site to the barn for both the exchange of vows and reception, this wedding was filled with nothing but joy and celebration. We so loved spending the day with these two and their amazing bridal party as well as getting to know their families. We hold a special place in our hearts for this awesome couple, and we hope you feel the love from Megan and Cody's fall wedding today.

Gay Street & Downtown Knoxville Engagement - Kayla + Derick
"The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. And that's what you've given me. That's what I'd hoped to give you forever." - Nicholas Sparks
Sometimes, there are people that you meet that make you have an immediate emotional reaction. You can actually feel the spark between the two, and it is just so blatantly obvious that they are madly in love. This is how we felt about our first encounter with Kayla and Derick in downtown Knoxville. These two beautiful people didn't need much directing as they just naturally gravitate towards each other, and we were so thrilled to be able to capture their energy as a couple in these images.
Kayla and Derick met at Lee University when Derick decided to make some life changes and move to a new school. The two were instantly attracted to one another, but they initially only interacted on social media. Eventually, Derick asked for Kayla's number, and they spent their first date chatting over coffee. Each says they fell for one another that night through their smiles and laughs. Derick's insanely romantic proposal was a scavenger hunt set up for Kayla including her sister as a driver, a playlist of all of their songs, clues that led her to all the places that are part of their love story, and a go pro to record it all. So thoughtful and endearing!
This engagement session took place along Gay street in downtown Knoxville--beginning at the Gay street bridge, moving to the iconic Tennessee sign, and wrapping up in Krutch Park and the surrounding streets. We are beyond ecstatic to share this couple's photos with you today, and we can't wait for their summer wedding next year at Black Fox Farms. Join us in giving Kayla and Derick your best wishes!

The Carriage House Bridal - Kendall
Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day.
That's what we were singing the week of Kendall's bridal session, as we had to re-schedule due to rainy conditions on our original date and an additional day we chose. The forecast called for rain for days in a row following that, and Kendall's wedding was fast approaching; we decided to take our chances on a day that turned out (very luckily) to be perfectly sunny until the end of our time with Kendall when we still managed to grab some dramatic shots of our bride under the covered patio with the rain falling behind her. We were even greeted by a huge rainbow as we snapped the last few shots at The Carriage House, the venue also serving as the site for Kendall and Nathan's wedding (look out for an upcoming feature of their big day as well).
Although the weather was not originally on our side, we believe things happen for a reason, and in this case, we were so grateful that Mother Nature held off long enough for us to capture these magazine worthy images of Kendall. Enjoy this bridal at The Carriage House!

Knoxville Museum of Art Wedding - Miriam + Ryan
A beautiful two piece gown, the perfect accessories, touches of lavender, and a gorgeous handmade Chuppah were just a few of the memorable details of Miriam and Ryan's fall wedding, but it was the palpable love you could feel from everyone who shared in their day that truly made this event special.
The couple's big day took place at the perfect location for the two, the Knoxville Museum of Art. This venue boasts two gorgeous courtyards and a modern, sleek style ideal for such an affair. The two were wed outside under a beautifully crafted Chuppah, a canopy characteristic of Jewish wedding ceremonies. The ceremony incorporated various poems read by friends and family, and a friend was granted the honor of marrying the two, which made these nuptials even more meaningful; the two shared personalized vows before celebrating their matrimony by breaking the glass and sharing a kiss as guests shouted, "Mazel Tov."
We are so thrilled to share Miriam and Ryan's wedding with you today, and we wish them nothing but happiness as they begin their journey as husband and wife.
A great day is even better with such amazing vendors!
