Jennifer's Maternity Shoot
I am so excited to share with you Jennifer's maternity photo shoot from Mayor Bob Leonard Park in Farragut, TN. I worked on capturing these moments with Megan Kiphart, so first and foremost, a huge thanks to her for such a fun experience. The best thing about a photo session is amazing clients, and this couple definitely fits that bill.
Jennifer was only about a week or two away from having her baby and actually had Miller just a few days after the shoot. I loved working with this family, and you can definitely see the love that have for each other in these photos. Congratulations to Jennifer and Jonathan on their handsome baby boy and to Lily on her baby brother.
Enjoy the photos from the Houghton's shoot.

The Hirschhaut Family
Hello friends. Juicebeats here.
I am so excited to share with you the Hirschhaut family. They have been friends with our family for many years, and I was honored to be able to photograph them. We went to the Cove off Northshore mid morning where we used the faux beach for some great lake shots. Then, we headed to a little trail where we took some more photos. I also had them stand out on an island while I photographed them from afar. Lastly, we headed to the other side of the park for shots by the docks. Enjoy these great family photos!

July 4th Weekend
Hi friends. Juicebeats here.
July 4th was an incredible weekend for me and my family. We started off the weekend by leaving work early on Thursday July 3rd to have our company picnic with hamburgers and hot dogs at the Cove off Northshore. I was able to spend some extra time with my son also.
July 4th is a celebration of independence for our country, but it is also significant to me because it is my Dad's birthday. We started the day with brunch at my parents' house, and of course, I brought my camera with me to capture a few pictures of my dad receiving his present-- 4 generations of Messings in a big 16x20 frame.

After hanging out and going to the pool, I went by my in-laws house because we were also going to celebrate Carla's/my mother-in-law's birthday while her sister and brother-in-law were in town for the night. Her present from us was pictures of the grand-kids that I took a few weeks earlier at the UT Gardens.

Later on that night of course we had to see the fireworks and play with sparklers.

Saturday July 5 we went to the pool to take Jaden swimming for the first time. I think he is really going to like the water.

All in all, it was an eventful holiday weekend with friends and family. I hope you all enjoyed your 4th as well.

Heather and PJ Engagement Shoot
Hello friends. Juicebeats here.
I am so excited to share with you this Knoxville couple's engagement photos. Saturday, May 31st, I was able to photograph Heather and PJ for their engagement. Heather and PJ have been friends of mine for several years now, and I was excited by the opportunity to photograph them. They are such a great couple, and you can tell that they are so in love.
We decided to do their photo shoot at Volunteer Landing Marina in order to take some beautiful and unique shots at one of Knoxville's most interesting sites. By visiting the marina's bridges, docks, trails, and railroad tracks, we were able to capture some sweet moments.
Heather and PJ are to be wed this December in Cancun, Mexico, and I am looking forward to traveling with them to celebrate their special day.
Kids by The Cove
Hello friends. Juicebeats here.
Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the Witmer & Davis kids at "The Cove" off Northshore in Farragut. The kids all wore white shirts and blue jeans to match. One of the challenges of the photo session was making sure all the kids expressions fit what I wanted to capture. Everything may appear great at first, but I noticed that sometimes when everyone else was smiling perfectly, one kid might have an eye half closed or be looking in a different direction. Despite all the challenges of getting 5 children to cooperate at the same time, it was a fun session with all of the trees and the lake in the background. This scenery created some beautiful and colorful backdrops for the photos.
Great session with some really great kids!

Sweet 16 Photo Session with Cami
Hello friends and photography lovers.
Juicebeats here, and yesterday I had the pleasure of working with a beautiful soon to be 16 year old Cami. Our photo session was at the Springbrook park in Alcoa, Tennessee. Cami wore an off white dress with a jean jacket and cowboy boots. Megan Kiphart assisted me on the shoot. Cami was a bit shy in the beginning of the session, so I had to do something to make her a feel a bit more comfortable. Hmm...Why not wear the tiara I brought for her to wear in some the pictures?
That got some great smiles out of her.

Springbrook Park is wide open but has some visually interesting spots for photography. There is a part in the park with a bamboo forest.

The park also features a fountain, duck pond, and lots of trees and shaded areas.

Cami liked those parts, but I think her favorite part was when she got to blow sweet 16 confetti at me. She got a real kick out of doing that and even threw some at me too.

I loved working with Cami, and it was great to see her feel more comfortable as the photo session went on; this made for some great candid moments. We had a lot of fun in the park. Enjoy these photos for Cami's sweet sixteen.
